The Alpha Test Party is Club Penguin Journey's first-ever party that launched the game. It began on February 5, 2023, and ended on February 25, 2023. The purpose of this party was to test different mechanics with the community publicly, receive feedback on the gameplay, and stress test the server.
During this period, Club Penguin Journey updated daily to implement essential additional changes and to fix several issues.

- During the party, the path to the Hidden Lake in the Cave Mine wasn't blocked off, however, you could not enter it.
