Book Room

The Book Room is the second floor of the Coffee Shop, where penguins are able to play Mancala or read a large variety of books from the Book Shelf, which includes the mini-games Paint By Letters and Infinite Tower: A Witch's Tale.

History[]

The Book Room was released on February 5, 2023, following the opening of Club Penguin Journey. The room was affected by an earthquake on May 14, 2024, reflecting its appearance in Mission 8.

Parties[]

During the Submarine Party, the floor became blue tiles, representing a whirlpool. The couches represented a shell and a clam, with some of the lamps becoming squids. The book shelf was decorated with a stone arch and wooden shell, the artwork featured a large yellow fish, and the Seashell Belt could be obtained from a box.
During the Halloween Party 2023, the Book Room was dimmed and decorated with pumpkin lights and jack-o-lanterns.
During the Holiday Party 2023, a red carpet led to the Santa Seat, where players could take a picture to receive the Santa Seat Background. The artwork became a painting of a snowy cliffside.

During the 1st Anniversary Party, the Book Room walls were painted purple, and the room featured a variety of purple and yellow decorations, including streamers, balloons, beanbags, and lights. There was a table where the 2023-2024 yearbook could be read, as well as cupcakes, and the artwork turned into a purple and yellow penguin looking back with "CPJ" written above.
During the April Fools Party 2024, the Book Room walls were missing, and a crack formed in the floor, sending players downstairs if stepped over.
During the Medieval Party 2024, the Book Room became a royal library, featuring desks for writing books, stained glass windows, a royal chair, and a large rug underneath the Mancala tables.
During the Summer Kickoff Party, the floor was colored blue and the room was decorated with palm trees, a surfboard, and straws coming from holes in the ceiling.
During the Halloween Party 2024, the Book Room was decorated similarly to the previous year. A pumpkin gumball was hidden on one of the pumpkin lights, as part of the Halloween Haunted Delights scavenger hunt.
During the Holiday Party 2024, the Book Room took appearance of the Bakery party room with various adjustments made to the room, such as the addition of the Book Shelf, Christmas carols, and Mancala tables. The Cookie Serving Apron was available here and the Dance Lounge was accessible to the right.

During the 2nd Anniversary Party, the Book Room was the top of a giant anniversary cake, the outside viewable from here. The room was colored and featured various decorations in red and blue, and there was a stack of party hats on the book shelf. The 2024-2025 yearbook became available to read along with the previous year's yearbook, and the art became similar to last year's party, with a blue and red penguin instead.
During the Puffle Party 2025, the Book Room was decorated with puffle balloons.
During the April Fools Party 2025, the Book Room became "Rookie's Coloring Room", the walls representing a blank canvas that was partly colored. A Find Four table was added to the room, next to a Find Four door that connected to the Lodge Attic.
During the Medieval Party 2025, the Book Room was decorated similarly to the previous year.
During The Fair Games, the Gift Shop was decorated with balloon bunches, which changed color depending on what team the player was on.
During the Halloween Party 2025, the Book Room was decorated similarly to the previous years.
During the Holiday Jam, the Book Room was decorated similarly to the previous year.

During the 3rd Anniversary Party, the Book Room was colored and featured various decorations in pastel yellow, blue, and silver. There were concessions on a table in the bottom of the room, and the art on the wall became a Jolly Puffles Poster. The 2025-2026 yearbook was added to the room.

During Sensei's Fire Scavenger Hunt, the book shelf candle was one of the items required for the scavenger hunt.
During the Club Penguin 20th Anniversary Celebration, the Book Room was decorated with colorful balloons and a large striped carpet with colors of the party hats, coming from downstairs and ending at the book shelf. The cactus wore the 10th Anniversary Hat, as part of the Party Hat Scavenger Hunt.
