Dance Club

The Dance Club is a room located in the center building at the Town, where penguins can dance and party with other penguins. Beneath the Dance Club is the Boiler Room, with the entrance hidden in a speaker, and the Dance Lounge resides upstairs.

Players can play the Dance Contest mini-game by clicking on the table beneath the Dance Contest poster on the right-hand side of the room, and DJ3K by clicking on the DJ set at the front of the room. The Keeper of the Boiler Room can be seen hopping on top of a speaker.

History[]

The Dance Club was released on February 5, 2023, following the opening of Club Penguin Journey. On March 6, 2023, Dance Contest was added to the room, and on March 1, 2024, the Game Upgrades catalog for DJ3K was added.

On November 10, 2023, a power outage occurred in the Dance Club, reflecting its appearance in Mission 3. The Dance Club was later affected by an earthquake in May 14, 2024, reflecting its Mission 8 appearance.

The Rave Mode function was added to the Dance Club on April 12, 2024. If there are at least ten penguins in the room and enough penguins are wearing the same color, the Dance Club's lights and floor change to that color. Additionally, depending on how many penguins are in the room, the Dance Club starts adding more effects:

10 penguins: The Dance Club's lights become dim, small lights flash behind the DJ table, and a disco ball lowers from the ceiling.
20 penguins: Spotlights shine from the ceiling, and circular lights spin around the room.
30+ penguins: A light bar raises from the floor, shining spotlights around the room.

During the Beta Party, markings of a party hat and a crab were drawn on the east wall.
During the St. Patrick's Day Party 2023, the dance floor flashed green and yellow lights, while clover decorations were placed on the door and behind the DJ stand.
During the April Fools Party 2023, the Dance Club was decorated with red and white streamers and an "April Fools!" banner. The dance floor displayed a game of Pong, and the speakers became cardboard boxes. The box in the bottom right was a portal that led to the Pizza Parlor.
During the Puffle Party 2023, the Dance Club became the hub for the Purple Puffle. The room was decorated with purple balloons, streamers, and lighting, and purple puffles took over the room.
During the Western Party 2023, the dance floor became wooden, and the room featured various western equipment such as wheels, tools, a barrel, a saddle, a bucket, a jug, and an anvil.
During the Card-Jitsu Party 2023, the Dance Club had an East Asian fire theme, with most of the room decorated with bamboo. The dance floor became a metal cage over lava and featured the fire symbol. The speakers became stones with bonsai trees growing on them, and the DJ stand was decorated with cherry blossoms and a gong.
During the Submarine Party, the Dance Club was the inside of a rusty metal ship which was completely flooded, making the speakers float.
During The Fair 2023, the Dance Club was dimmed, and many objects in the room were decorated with neon lights. The dance floor flashed pink and blue colors in different patterns.
During the Halloween Party 2023, the Dance Club was the inside of a spooky tower. The dance floor flashed shades of orange, and the room was decorated with pumpkin lights, jack-o-lanterns, and menorahs, and the DJ table was covered with a giant jack-o-lantern carving.
During the Holiday Party 2023, the Dance Club walls became candy cane themed, while the DJ stand and its walls featured art of toys and presents. The dance floor flashed lights of red, green, purple, and white. The rest of the room was decorated with presents, a large toy train, a Christmas Tree, a wreath, and a toy plane and tropical bird hanging from the ceiling.

During the Winter Fiesta 2024, the Dance Club was the inside of a Mayan temple, The dance floor and the marking behind the DJ table became Mayan symbols.
During the 1st Anniversary Party, the Dance Club was decorated the same way as it was during the Graduation Mini-Event 2023.
During the Pirate Party 2024, the Dance Club was decorated with a Jolly Roger flag and barrels, while the dance floor became wooden floor similar to a pirate ship. A map piece for the Map Scavenger Hunt was hidden above on a wooden platform, next to a jackhammer and treasure chest.
During the April Fools Party 2024, the dance floor displayed a game of Pac-Man, and various notes with drawings of Cadence, DJ Maxx, and a Trollface were posted around the room. Two of the speakers became melting ice blocks, while one become a stack of Rubik's Cubes and the Boiler Room speaker was a mini-fridge with stickers.
During the Medieval Party 2024, the Dance Club was the inside of a stone castle, known as the Knight Club. The speakers were tower-themed, medieval banners were hung behind the DJ table, and the dance floor became checkered.
During the Summer Kickoff Party, the walls and floor were colored blue. The speakers were blue and inflatable, and the dance floor flashed light blue with water spouting from it.
During the Music Jam 2024, the Dance Club was almost completely dark. The floor was decorated with stars, and the room was decorated with neon lightning, including the dance floor. The Purple Glow Sticks could be obtained by clicking on the sixth spotlight above the room. The DJ Maxx EDM Concert also took place here occasionally.

During the Festival of Flight, the walls became sky blue with the sun and clouds. Some speakers were covered with clouds, and the dance floor flashed similar moving images of the sun and clouds.
During the 2nd Anniversary Party, the Dance Club was decorated the same way as it was during the Music Jam 2024.
During the Puffle Party 2025, the Dance Club was decorated similarly to its appearance during the Puffle Party 2023, with the addition of the Purple Puffle Pin.
During the April Fools Party 2025, the Dance Club was decorated similarly to its appearance during the April Fools Party 2023, but the decorations were purple instead of red, a black puffle replaced the Keeper of the Boiler Room, and the box portal lost its functionality.
During the Medieval Party 2025, the Dance Club was decorated similarly to the previous year.
During the Adventure Party 2025, the Dance Club became the inside of a tiki hut. The speakers took the shape of tiki masks, and the dance club flashed tropical colors.
During the Western Party 2025, the Dance Club featured many decorations from the Western Party 2023, but the dance floor remained normal.
During the Card-Jitsu Fire Party, the Dance Club was decorated similarly to its appearance during the Card-Jitsu Party 2023.
During The Fair Games, the Dance Club was decorated similarly to the previous years.
During the Halloween Party 2025, the Dance Club was decorated similarly to the previous years.
During the Holiday Jam, the Dance Club featured simplified decorations compared to the previous years. The dance floor kept its same colors from previous years, and a green carpet led from the entrance, around the DJ table to upstairs.

During the 3rd Anniversary Party, the Dance Club was decorated the same way as it was during the Adventure Party 2025.

Mini-Events[]

During the Valentine's Day Celebration 2023, the Dance Club was decorated with red and pink streamers, balloons, and ribbons. The dance floor turned red, occasionally forming a heart image, and the Penguin Band played on stage.
During the Graduation Mini-Event 2023, the Dance Club's lighting turned purple, with the dance floor flashing shades of blue. Blue carpeting was placed behind the DJ stand and under the Dance Contest sign-up table, and the room was decorated with blue and purple balloons, streamers, and lights, as well as a disco ball and bubble machine. The Navy Blue Suit and Lavender Gown could be obtained from the mannequins in the back.

During the Smoothie-A-Thon, the Dance Club featured neon lighting, and the dance floor's patterns could be changed using the buttons on a machine. The Boombox was available for pickup here.

During the Graduation Mini-Event 2025 the Dance Club was decorated similarly to its appearance during the Graduation Mini-Event 2023.
During the Club Penguin 20th Anniversary Celebration, the Dance Club resembled its old appearance on the original Club Penguin and was decorated with colorful balloons and a large striped carpet with colors of the party hats, coming from the Town and leading upstairs. The DJ table was moved to the bottom left to make way for the Penguin Band performing on stage, under a "Happy Anniversary" banner. The Keeper of the Boiler Room also wore the 4th Year Party Hat as part of the Party Hat Scavenger Hunt.
