Mine Shack

The Mine Shack is a room in the north east of Club Penguin Island, and serves as the end of the Mine track. Penguins can grow a community garden by throwing snowballs in a green bucket on top of the shack to activate the sprinklers. To the left of the room is the Recycling Plant, and below it is a path to the Forest.

History[]

The Mine Shack was released on February 5, 2023, following the opening of Club Penguin Journey. Over time, the tree in the top left began growing, reaching its final stage on April 22, 2024 during Earth Day 2024.

On August 5, 2024, corn stalks began growing around the room, and multiplied a week later. This would eventually be a lead-up to the first operation, Operation: Veggie Villain.

During the April Fools Party 2023, the Mine Shack was decorated with red and white banners and balloons.
During the Puffle Party 2023, the Mine Shack was decorated with colorful balloons.
During the Card-Jitsu Party 2023, the Mine Shack became a bamboo forest with cherry blossoms. The water from the shack was automatically running, pouring into a pond.
During the Halloween Party 2023, the shack became a haunted house, and the tree became a spooky tree. Wilted crops laid on the soil beside the shack.
During the Holiday Party 2023, the night sky featured an aurora borealis.

During the Winter Fiesta 2024, the Mine Shack was decorated with pastel colors and art of penguins, and the rest of the room was decorated with cactuses, colorful lights, and banners. The Piñata Miner's Helmet was available to pick up from a minecart.
During the 1st Anniversary Party, the Mine Shack was decorated the same way as it was during the Card-Jitsu Party 2023.
During the Pirate Party 2024, the shack became a rocky cave with a Jolly Roger flag, the Recycling Plant and shed became wooden houses, and more trees and plants filled the room. A map piece was hidden behind the Recycling Plant, as part of the Map Scavenger Hunt.
During the April Fools Party 2024, the Mine Shack was built with blocks from the video game Minecraft. The shack and shed were mostly made of wood, and the recycling plant was made of stone.
During the Medieval Party 2024, the shack became a stone cave and the garden became a marsh filled with reeds and rocks. The Recycling Plant and shed featured the same decorations as the Pirate Party 2024. Between the plant and the shack was a well that led to the Underground Pool.
During the Summer Kickoff Party, there was a large bucket to the left of the shack that could be filled using the green bucket. The bucket would tip over when filled with enough water.
During the Music Jam 2024, the Orca Straw replaced the garden, and an interview could be conducted to the left. Clicking the blue music note on top of the shack gave penguins the Blue Glow Sticks.
During Operation: Veggie Villain, the Mine Shack was the location of the Corn Maize, which had been growing for two weeks prior. Herbert's footprints could be seen in the soil.
During the Halloween Party 2024, spiders hung from the large tree, and the air was covered with fog.
During the Holiday Party 2024, the shack turned into a gingerbread house, and to the right of it was a train station. The CPJ Express was stationed here, with the train conductor waving and boarding passengers.

During the 2nd Anniversary Party, the Mine Shack was decorated the same way as it was during the Pirate Party 2024.
During the Puffle Party 2025, the Mine Shack became the hub for the Pumpkin Puffle, which could be adopted. The lighting of the room was darker, and the room was decorated with many pumpkins, and black and orange balloons. The Pumpkin Puffle Pin was located on top of the shed.
During the April Fools Party 2025, the shack became a connect-the-dots puzzle, and there were snow angels in the dirt, known as a "Dirt Party" due to the lack of water. A blue frown sign was placed on the Recycling Plant's logo.
During the Medieval Party 2025, the Mine Shack was decorated similarly to the previous year.
During the Adventure Party 2025, the Mine Shack was decorated similarly to its appearance during the Pirate Party 2024, except the large tree led to the Treetop Forts. As a result, the path to the Forest was blocked off.
During Sensei's Fire Scavenger Hunt and the Card-Jitsu Fire Party, the sky turned orange, changing the lighting of the room.
During The Fair Games, the Mine Shack was decorated with balloon bunches that changed colors depending on what team the player was on.
During the Halloween Party 2025, the Mine Shack was decorated similarly to the previous year.
During the Holiday Jam, the Mine Shack was decorated similarly to the previous year.

During the 3rd Anniversary Party, the Mine Shack was decorated the same way as it was during the Puffle Party 2025.

Mini-Events[]

During the Easter Scavenger Hunt 2023, an Easter Egg was hidden behind the flowers to the right of the shack.

During Earth Day 2024, there was a wooden wheelbarrow of Straw Gardening Hats to the right of the shack.

During Lunar New Year 2025, the shack was colored light pink, with flowers, a hill, and a tree colored in red. There was bamboo around the room, colored fulus hung from the large tree, and red lanterns hung from the Recycling Plant. To the right of the shack was a wheeled stall, where penguins could purchase items from the Lunar New Year 2025 Catalog.

Trivia[]

The ability to use snowballs to water the garden was added on April 22, 2023.
During Earth Day 2023, players were able to obtain the Straw Gardening Hat by throwing snowballs into the chute at the top of the Mine Shack to water the garden. The item was obtained after growing the garden and filling the shed with food 3 times.
