Operation: Veggie Villain was a PSA operation party in Club Penguin Journey that began on August 23, 2024 and ended on September 2, 2024, although teasers leading up to the event occurred prior.

The party featured an in-world mission where the player must investigate the disappearance of several items, while also dealing with an increased presence of corn around the island. The mission is based on the PSA mission of the same name that would be added after the end of the party. Dot, Herbert, and Klutzy made their debut as mascots.

Pre-August 2024[]

April 1, 2024 - With the release of the April Fools Party, the Sport Shop was updated have a popcorn theme, referencing its destruction by popcorn in the original Club Penguin, as well as foreshadowing the occurrence of said event in Club Penguin Journey.
July 5, 2024 - The July 2024 edition of Penguin Style was released, with the back cover showing Herbert under rainy weather.

August 2024[]

August 5, 2024 - During Camp Penguin, some corn could be spotted growing behind the Mine Shack.
August 9, 2024 - The August 2024 edition of Penguin Style was released, with the back cover showing bear prints toward the Snow Forts and some corn on the ground.
August 12, 2024 - The corn behind the Mine Shack had grown into a large field.
August 19, 2024 - Issue 39 of the Club Penguin Times reported an increasing presence of corn seeds around the island and "large white puffle" sightings. Claw scratches were also present on the Classifieds and Events sections. August 23 was announced to purportedly be an event-less day as the party planners take a break for the month.
August 21, 2024 - On the Club Penguin Journey Discord server, the server icon was changed to static, and all communications with staff members had supposedly been downed, leading to them repeating the phrase, "This message could not be delivered". No actual hacking occurred, though, and was just analogous to the downing of PSA systems by Herbert during the operation.
August 22, 2024 - Operation: Veggie Villain was announced, slated to take place from August 23, 2024.

Trivia[]

This is Club Penguin Journey's first operation party. Prior to this, Operation: Collapse was planned but eventually cancelled.
During this party on August 25, 2024, the game reached over 2,000 online players, breaking the previous record.
- On August 26, 2024, as a reward for this accomplishment, a prize of 500,000 coins was distributed to every player who obtained Herbert's Giveaway Background or Klutzy's Veggie Villain Giveaway before or during Herbert and Klutzy's second visit.
This party initially released with 3 stamps. The Dot Stamp, the Herbert Stamp and the Elite Operative Stamp.
- The Klutzy Stamp was missing due to a mistake. This was later fixed before Klutzy's first meetup.
