Penguin of the Week (POTW) is a title awarded to dedicated, passionate, and friendly community members on Club Penguin Journey. The criteria is that selected accounts have a clean account history for at least 90 days, which can be occasionally flexible.

The POTW is announced every Monday on the "What's New" blog. Winners receive the Green Viking Helmet, the Penguin of the Week background, and 10,000 coins.

- CPJ staff members choose POTWs and cannot become one themselves.
- Players can become staff members after becoming a POTW.
- Penguin of the Week Blogs were separated from Game Update Blogs on October 9, 2023.
- On April 1, 2024, the post was titled Box of the Week (BOTW). Keith became Box of the Week #56 as an April Fools' joke, shortly before the actual Penguin of the Week was revealed.
- On April 7, 2025, the POTW also became BOTW.
