Plaza

The Plaza is a room in the east of Club Penguin Island and is home to essential buildings like the Pet Shop, Stage, and Pizza Parlor. The Puffle Park is also accessible behind the Pet Shop, and in front of the Pet Shop is a manhole leading to the Underground Pool. The Plaza is situated in between three rooms: the Snow Forts, Forest, and Welcome Room.

History[]

The Plaza was released on February 5, 2023, following the opening of Club Penguin Journey. On August 5, 2024, at the start of Camp Penguin, a path leading to the Welcome Room was added to the bottom left of the room and became permanent after the event.

Chairs and tables were temporarily added to the right corner of the Plaza on September 2, 2024, after Operation: Veggie Villain. However, they were removed 3 hours later. On January 31, 2025, the tables returned to the Plaza, and the signs on the buildings were now interactable by throwing a snowball at them.

On March 14, 2025, during the Puffle Party 2025, an entrance to the Puffle Park was added behind the Pet Shop, which stayed permanently when the island turned to normal.

Parties[]

During the Beta Party, the Plaza buildings and sidewalk turned white and lavender, decorated with white and lavender balloons. The CPJ Pin was hidden on the Pet Shop during the party.
During the St. Patrick's Day Party 2023, the Plaza buildings and snow turned green, decorated with clovers, while the Pet Shop puffle wore a leprechaun hat and the Stage mask turned gold. Some clovers were drawn in the snow, and there was a pot of gold on the right side of the room.
During the April Fools Party 2023, the Plaza buildings became cardboard box recreations. The bottom of the Plaza was lined with cardboard boxes, the leftmost one containing a box of Red Propeller Caps.
During Earth Day 2023, the Pet Shop and Pizza Parlor were colored green, while some plants were placed around the Plaza.
During the Puffle Party 2023, the Pet Shop turned into a brown circus tent, while the Pizza Parlor resembled a scratching post. The Blue Puffle Hat was available to pick up here.
During the Western Party 2023, the puffle on the Pet Shop wore a cowboy hat. The room was decorated with two rocking horses tied up to a wooden fence and a long wooden water trough. The Western T-Shirt could be picked up here.
During the Card-Jitsu Party 2023, the Plaza turned into a traditional East Asian water village with bamboo stalks and cherry blossoms. A noodle stand was also placed in the Plaza.
During the Submarine Party, some coral reefs took over the lower Plaza. A giant inflatable octopus was holding on to the Pet Shop, and the Pizza Shop turned into Cap'n Patch's Pizza Shack.
During The Fair 2023, the Pet Shop featured bright colors with a spinning puffle sign, the Stage became a colorful theater, and the Pizza Parlor became a colorful circus tent.
During the Halloween Party 2023, a giant black monster with tentacles hovered over the Pet Shop, with the puffle sign turning into a spooky green puffle. The Pizza Parlor was renamed to Frankie's Pizza, there was a cauldron on the right, and players could pick up the Pumpkin Antennae here. A chocolate bar was hidden to the right of Frankie's Pizza, as part of the Halloween Candy Hunt.
During the Holiday Party 2023, the Pet Shop became the Reinpuffle Stables, while the other buildings featured traditional Christmas decorations. A donation station was placed in the middle of the room.

During the Winter Fiesta 2024, festive lights were strung around the Plaza, with piñatas hanging from them. The Pet Shop puffle and the light post wore sombreros.
During the 1st Anniversary Party, the Plaza was decorated the same way as it was during Earth Day 2023. A honey jar was hidden behind the bonsai tree, as part of the Cake Scavenger Hunt.
During the Pirate Party 2024, the Plaza buildings turned into a pirate town, with the Pizza Parlor being named Pirate Pizza. Some barrels and crates were placed here, including a crate of Fluffy.
During the April Fools Party 2024, the Plaza became retro, resembling a town from the Pokémon series. Penguins turned into Pixel Penguins in this room.
During the Medieval Party 2024, the Pet Shop became a stable house, the Stage became a puppet house, and the Pizza Parlor became a stone tower. A well took players to the underground.
During the Summer Kickoff Party, two concession stands were selling ice cream and iced treats.
During the Music Jam 2024, the Pet Shop puffle was wearing The Rocker and diva sunglasses, the Stage mask wore a Marching Band Hat, and the Pizza Parlor pizza wore The Spikette and sunglasses. There was a fish dog stand and a place to play instruments.
During Camp Penguin, the puffle wore a Park Ranger Hat, the Stage was a camping tent, and the Pizza Parlor became a mess hall.
During Operation: Veggie Villain, Herbert's footprints were seen coming from the Snow Forts and leading to the Forest.
During The Fair 2024, the Plaza was decorated similarly to the previous year, with the addition of the Island Coaster in the background.
During the Halloween Party 2024, the buildings featured darker colors and glowing yellow signs. The puffle was replaced with a Pumpkin Puffle, the Stage mask became two traditional stage masks, and the Pizza Parlor became the Candy Parlor. The Spider Pin was hidden on top of the Stage for the duration of the party.
During the Holiday Party 2024, the penguins became miniature, and the buildings became festive and fancy two-story establishments. Multiple chairs and tables were placed in the Plaza, and players could pick up a Bell from a box.

During the Festival of Flight, the Plaza was decorated with cloud decorations and balloons, and a box of Green Propeller Caps.
During the 2nd Anniversary Party, the Plaza was decorated the same way as it was during the Holiday Party 2024.
During the Puffle Party 2025, the Pet Shop featured rainbow colors and resembled a box of Puffle-O's, the Stage turned resembled a yellow puffle house, and the Plaza resembled a scratching post. The Blue Puffle Hat was available to pick up here.
During the Medieval Party 2025, the Plaza was decorated similarly to the previous year, with the Infinite Tower being visible in the background.
During the Adventure Party 2025, the Plaza featured decorations from the Pirate Party 2024, with additions such as sand and a wooden platform, as well tropical plants.
During the Western Party 2025, the Plaza was decorated similarly to its appearance during the Western Party 2023.
During the Card-Jitsu Fire Party, the Plaza turned into a traditional East Asian fire village.
During The Fair Games, the Plaza was decorated similarly to the previous year.
During the Halloween Party 2025, the Plaza was decorated similarly to the previous year.
During the Holiday Jam, the Plaza was decorated similarly to the previous year.

During the 3rd Anniversary Party, the Plaza was decorated the same way as it was during The Fair Games.

Mini-Events[]

During the Pizza Palooza, the Pizza Parlor was covered with pizza slices and boxes, while the Pizza Parlor was named after and resembled a pizza oven.

During Earth Day 2024, the Plaza was decorated similarly to its appearance during Earth Day 2023, with the Outback Exploring Hat available to pick up here.
During the Mountain Expedition, mountain and cloud decorations were placed around the room, along with balloon bunches and banners.

During Sensei's Fire Scavenger Hunt, the sky turned orange, changing the lighting of the room.
During the Penguin Play Awards 2025, the Plaza resembled the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Stage became the main venue for the event with a red carpet and cameras, while the other two buildings became fancier. Players could vote for their favorite plays using the ballot box to the left of the room.

Trivia[]

By throwing snowballs at each of the Plaza signs, the following effects happen:
- Pet Shop: The sign turns into different colored puffles, each with their own facial expressions.
- Stage: The mask blinks once.
- Pizza Parlor: The pizza turns into a hot shrimp pizza, or a dessert pizza.
The chairs and tables are identical to the ones in the original Club Penguin before the Stage was built.
