- The item was made available as part of Captain Crimson's Voyager Offerings as a rare item. However, due to the loss of some game progression following the Club Penguin Journey shutdown in September 2024, all items obtained by players from the Voyager Offerings were lost.
- The squid resembles the Shocktopus seen in Puffle Rescue.
- The same type of squid also features in The Squid Lid and Squid Scrunch items.
