Voyager Offerings was an exclusive interface in Club Penguin Journey located within The Dark Cave. It is accessed by waddling to the entrance of the The Voyager. Here, Captain Crimson offered rare items, usually from past events, in exchange for gems. It was released on September 16, 2024, and was made unavailable on September 20, 2024.
It sold head items, face items, neck items, body items, hand items, feet items, transformations, and backgrounds.
Due to the initial shutdown of Club Penguin Journey and lost progression of penguin data, none of the items obtained from Voyager Offerings were retained, with any gems spent being returned. Captain Crimson's interface was heavily redesigned following community feedback and released as Captain Crimson's Wares on June 16, 2025, with the removal of mechanics such as being offered a selection from a pool of items and being able to purchase more gems.
Trading Gems[]
If a player wished to trade their gems for items, Captain Crimson would offer the player 8 items which they could obtain. The items varied in rarity, with items being categorized as Common, Uncommon, Rare or Legendary. Of the 8 items, at least one would be Rare and two would be Uncommon. Not all players would be offered a Legendary item.
The items offered to the player would remain the same throughout Captain Crimson's visit, however the player would have the opportunity to re-roll one of the items, swapping it for a different item from Captain Crimson, potentially with a different rarity. Players could only re-roll one item during Captain Crimson's visit and would not be able to swap this back to the previous item.
The trading price of the items depended on their rarity:
- Common items could be obtained for 200
- Uncommon items could be obtained for 250
- Rare items could be obtained for 500
- Legendary items could be obtained for 800
Purchasing Gems[]
As well as earning gems from completing party quests, players could also purchase one pack of additional gems from the Voyager Offerings interface each Captain Crimson's visit.
Players could select one of the following packs to purchase:
- 100 for 10,000
- 500 for 50,000
- 1,000 for 100,000
Once purchased, the player would not be able to purchase additional gems until Captain Crimson's next visit.
Rewards[]
- 100% Chance of appearing with a minimum of 8 items and a maximum of no limit.
- 25% Chance of appearing with a minimum of 2 items appearing and limit of 4 items appearing.
- 4.5% Chance of appearing with a minimum of 1 item appearing and limit of 2 items appearing.
- 0.5% Chance of appearing with a minimum of 0 items appearing and limit of 1 items appearing.
Trivia[]
- During its original release, there was significant criticism of how Voyager Offerings worked. Staff noted this, as they assured that the mechanics of the interface were being reworked, with Captain Crimson's 2025 visit featuring a new interface and overall mechanics.
